1. Changes related to private customers located in EU (B2C sales):
From 01.05.2021 for all shipments to private customers we will be using DDP procedure. This means that SKALARKI electronics Ltd will be collecting all the Import/Export taxes and passing them to the authorities. Price visible at the checkout will be the final price which customer needs to pay. There will be no extra costs after goods arrival as we will cover all Brexit related extra fees. Customer will pay only once in our shop and then just wait for the goods to be delivered. Import/Export taxes will be calculated after user will log-in to own account. For users without account or not logged-in, displayed prices will not include any taxes. Import/Export taxes are related to destination country VAT rates.
For now this procedure seems to be the fastest, almost as fast as before brexit.
2. Changes related to commercial users located in EU (B2B sales):
From 01.05.2021 for all shipments to commercial customers we will be using DAP procedure. This means all Import/Export taxes will be paid by receiver after goods arrival. All customs related procedures receiver will need to take care off. New procedures require from each company valid VAT and EORI number. Without these we will not be able to send any order to business customer in EU. Prices in our shop, visible to commercial customers will not include any taxes.
This procedure is much longer as customer needs to deal with customs procedures and costs in destination country. Currently average shipping time is about two weeks.
